I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Travelers (Naperville, IL) in Feb 2019
Interview
I had a great experience interviewing with Travelers! I applied and received an email right after applying asking me to take an online assessment. This took about 45 min which had a lot of personality questions along with thinking skills/comprehension questions. After I submitted my assessment I received an email the next day from a recruiter and we scheduled a phone interview. The phone interview was just going over the position, my job history/education, and why I believed to be fit for the position and why I wanted to work for Travelers. Two days after the phone interview I received a call from one of the hiring managers to schedule an in person interview. The interview was with two hiring managers whom made me feel comfortable with the interview questions and were super friendly. I also met someone who was in the same position I interviewed for as well during the interview and we went over daily tasks, the program Travelers uses, etc. He was great at explaining the position and what it entails. I felt like it was important to ask good questions when speaking with him and he did a great job answering any questions I had. After the in person interview, I received a call exactly 2 weeks later by the recruiter who gave me a phone interview offering me the position (contingent about my background and drug test). I took my drug test the next day and submitted my background information to their third party background check company (HireRight). A week later I was hired on and couldn’t be more excited!

Question 1
About 20 “Tell me about a time when...” questions. Be prepared to answer all time of scenarios!
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Travelers (Hunt Valley, MD) in Apr 2025
Interview
2 rounds.
1st was phone screening, recruiter was friendly and did not ask detailed questions about resume which was surprising. Focused more on interest in Trainee role and Travelers. Took about 40 minutes.
2nd was in-person interviews. Plural. Three separate interviews back to back:
1st was with panel of Unit Managers and Director. STAR format, probably about 1 hour.
2nd was peer interview with someone who finished the Trainee program. Much more casual, conversational format, about 20-30 minutes.
3rd was with regional vice president. STAR format again, honestly do not remember how long it was because my brain started running on auto-pilot towards the end of VP's questions.
Took 3-4 weeks for original application to be picked by recruiter for that phone screening. Got a call 1 week after phone screening to schedule in-person interview panels. Took 2 weeks after in-person interviews to hear back.

I applied online. I interviewed at Travelers (Walnut Creek, CA) in Mar 2025
Interview
It was friendly, efficient, and transparent. Their communication was good throughout. The process included one recruiter contact, one preliminary phone call, one small panel over zoom, and then a zoom with Corporate.

Question 1
Whether I had ever received feedback from a supervisor that surprised me.
The interview process involved multiple stages, including a required assessment. Unfortunately, no feedback was provided at any stage, which left me without a clear understanding of my performance or areas for improvement. The lack of communication throughout the process was disappointing.
