I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Trip.com Group
Interview
The interview process was exhaustingly long and deeply disappointing. I was contacted by a recruiter 24 hours after applying for the role. Over the course of 9 weeks I met with 6 different team members scattered throughout the country and in Shanghai including HR, Hiring Manager, other managers, VP, and Regional Directors. At week 7 I was asked if I would be interested in the same role but for a different team. The role I initially applied for had been filled, I asked for interview feedback and HR shared the feedback about me had been "good". I felt let down that the only feedback HR could give me was that I was "good" after all the time and effort I had put in for 8 weeks interviewing with this company! I then met with the other hiring manager for the new role. As we met during this interview she shared that she did not know that I had been interviewing for a different role for 2 months at that point. Are you kidding me? During this interview she asked me if I would be interested in a totally different role in another part of the country. I was completely stunned and wondered if I was being pranked...I'm not kidding. 2 weeks after this interview I had to chase HR for a follow up/next steps and was informed that the team still has not made a decision. This company interviewed me for over 9 weeks for 3 different roles and still did not know if they wanted to hire me. What a complete joke. I dodged a bullet. This entire interview process was unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. If this happened to me, it is happening to other applicants which is totally unacceptable. Trip.com expressed throughout the interview process their goals of building their team in the US and scaling. If this is how they go about interviewing and hiring applicants they are going to fail in the US. I will never recommend this company.
