I was contacted very quickly after submitting my resume. Within a week, I had phone interviewed with both the internal recruiter and the hiring manager. Both interviews were very relaxed and quite pleasant. I felt quite good about the company. I was also asked to complete a candidate exercise as part of the process. The candidate exercise was not terribly difficult (although I believe it was above the role as I was applying for). It took a few hours to complete and the recruiter acknowledged receipt and replied I would hear back soon.
After a week with no word- I sent a follow-up email. NO RESPONSE
I waited another week and sent a second follow up. NO RESPONSE
I still wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt - would a company seriously be that unprofessional with a candidate who had gone so far into the interview process?
I then sent an email to the hiring manager - stating that perhaps my email to the recruiter had gone into SPAM. Guess what? NO RESPONSE!!!
I am amazed the HR dept could not be bothered with a simple, brief email to close the loop. It truly made the difference between me having a positive reaction versus being so appalled by the lack of professionalism that I was compelled to write this review.
Not only do I now have a negative view of TRUECar as a job applicant, but also as a consumer.
Perhaps HR should be more cognitive of how they represent their company.
