I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Twilio (London, England) in Jul 2020
Interview
I get recommended for an ISR role initially. It took 1 month for the rec to reach out to me and a further 3 weeks to actually speak with him. He tells me that the role isn't of high interest to them and I am told that I was over qualified.
He proposes a series of Growth AE roles that are due to come up in 2-3 weeks. I agree. I apply for them ( I thought) he'd reach out but not, so ok. Once I applied for 2 of them, I sent him an email notifying him. 1 week, 2 ,3 no answer. 2nd month I call him and ask him what happened - I got no replies Re these roles.
He tells me that they had some internal candidates, for the UK AE role he implied they need native speaker, for Nordics also (what language I wonder - "nordic"??) but he said that the EE could be good for me. So i wait 1 more week - nothing.
I call him again, he says the EE Growth AE doesn't exist anymore and has been assigned as an Israel headcount. (!?!?!?)
I closed the line.
In Jan'21 I get a rejection email for the Israel Growth AE. - 5* recruiting right there.
