Application
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Twilio (London, England) in Jan 2021
Interview
Took nearly 2 months end to end which can mean if you are in multiple processes things can get complicated. HR screen, then initial hiring manager, then five 45 video interviews over the course of five days inc. one ‘bar raiser’. Values were definitely a feature but how much varied according to the interviewer. After that, there was a blind written test that had to be done in 45 minutes. Very extensive, thorough but generally well run process. Am looking forward to joining.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a difficult situation at work and how you handled it?
Initially met with the recruiter for 30 mins. She asked me general questions about my background and experience, and then shared more information on Twilio, the team, and the process.
Then met with the hiring manager for 45 mins asking situational questions and spoke more about the role and team.
Followed up with four, 45 minute loop interviews and finished with an hour long case study presentation (45 mins to present, 15 mins for Q&A).
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when your project wasn’t prioritized. How did you handle your stakeholders?
Well organised interview process, swift communication , knew what to expect at each stage, hiring manager, peer and stakeholder interviewers as well as a bar raiser. Very smooth process, and clearly communicated.

Question 1
Describe a time when you led change using the STAR model.
Overall great process! Really cool that they include what they call a Bar Raiser in the final round of interview. Really shows they care and live by their "Twilio Magic". Interview was a mix of peers and other BUs with which I would work closely with.
