The interview process was pretty standard. I had 3 interviews, and an email/mock call assessment on the final interview. Without a doubt, this was the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had during an interview. During the multi stage final interview, I’m positive the gentleman was high as a kite. He couldn’t answer a single one of my questions, none of which were unusual. He seemed very unaware of how to do his own job. In addition, he was extremely condescending and rude. Then, I spoke with a manager on my second interview who was completely uninterested in being there. She had a new puppy sitting on her lap that interrupted the interview at least 10 times (many times in the middle of my sentences) and she walked away from her laptop for several minutes to take care of that. After spending a lot of time and effort to complete their assignments, I’m glad to know how unprofessional this organization is. Its a shame in this job market to treat candidates with such little regard. I would not recommend anyone to waste their energy on this company. Truly classless!
Additionally, I applied to this role several weeks before the recruiter reached out to me. When she contacted me, I was on a scheduled vacation and was upfront that I wasn’t available to interview until the following week. The recruiter was SO adamant on getting the interview done that same week, so I rearranged my plans to accommodate her which was very complicated to do. To make accommodations on behalf of Twilio, just to turn around and have them treat me like trash is so very disappointing.
