This was by far the worst interview experience I've ever had. I interviewed at Grace Hopper in Houston, TX.
Started out going over my resume, asked the interviewer a few questions about the companies. Then we dove right into the questions. I was doing well until the design question, which I was not prepared for. Halfway through this question, I knew I wasn't getting the job, which was fine. I didn't prepare enough for the interview, it happens.
Got a little flustered after I couldn't answer the second question, especially since I should have known the answer. TL;DR, my nerves got to me, so I couldn't finish the 3rd question.
The interviewer rejected me ON THE SPOT. I've done a lot of interviews, and NEVER has someone rejected me in the actual interview. This is so incredibly rude and disrespectful. I get it, Two Sigma is a very respectable company, but that doesn't mean you can stop treating candidates like people. To top it all off, the recruiter sent me an email, two weeks later saying: "After carefully reviewing your qualifications and interview results, we feel that we do not have an appropriate position for you at this time." Did you really carefully review anything?
At the end of the interview, my interviewer said to me, "I see a lot of raw talent here, and I hope that you practice this year and try again next year with us."
I do not wish to work for a company that treats candidates like this.
