Fairly standard in my experience. Initial interview over the phone by HR, second phone interview with hiring manager over the phone, then in person interview which consisted of a group demonstration, then 4 rounds of individual interviews afterwords. All in all, about 3-3.5 hours
Pro: Stability, this is a large company that is well funded and will no be going anywhere soon.
Cons: GHOSTED! I have never, EVER, encountered an HR department that was so inadequate at their job. I started with one person in HR, handed to another, then forgotten about after in person interviews. I know this can sound like I tanked the interview, but after a thank you email, and 3 follow up emails to 2 people over a course of three weeks, I FINALLY got an email response saying I was still a final candidate, they were waiting on an OK to hire for the position, and I would be contacted in under a week. SILENCE. After 3 more emails to this person, and two voicemails on their direct line, I gave up. The posting remained online for about 2 months after that, then finally went down (guess they didnt want me).
If a company is willing to treat you this way before you even walk in the door, be thankful you don't get the offer.
