The hiring manager didn’t even show up—only his peers did. None of the questions were aligned with the job description, there were zero behavioral questions, and they showed little interest in what I actually do today. The entire interview focused on very specific job functions that weren’t mentioned in the JD at all, which made it a very “caught off guard” experience. When I asked about the hiring manager, they said I’d be reporting to all of them, which honestly raised a lot of red flags.
