      Research Manager Interview

      Mar 7, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Saint Louis, MO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at U.S. Bank (Saint Louis, MO) in Feb 2016

      Interview

Sloppy. First I talked with a recruiter whose name I was provided by a colleague who works at the bank. The recruiter was rude beyond belief. I finally got her to agree to a phone screening with me, which then led to a one on one with the hiring manager. The manager I interviewed with spent the entire time telling me how busy they were, and didn't provide answers to most of the questions I asked about the position. It seemed that they were more worried about my being overqualified for the position, and even though I assured them that I consistently do the very best job I am capable of, regardless of remuneration and that I was sincerely interested in the position and wanted to become part of the team for a brand that I admire, they didn't have the common courtesy to acknowledge the thank you note I sent or to reply to any of my follow up check ins.

      Question 1

The primary question was concerning my ability to use Excel to create reports.
