I applied online and was called the next day to have an interview a couple of days later. I enjoyed it and it was relatively informal. I was called an hour later to schedule a meeting with the Branch Manager for the following Monday. Again, I enjoyed it and felt that it went well.
Unfortunately I was given the impression that I would be called back to meet the DM very soon but waited with no call. I called the next week on Friday and was told that they were re-evaluating their needs. To me that is a bad sign, right? I asked him if I should be happy over the weekend (meaning: are you serious about me?) or should I just be resolved (meaning: nope, sorry we are moving on) and all he said that he loved my positive personality. Ummm, thanks?
I called Monday to the first manager I interviewed with and was told that the 're-evaluating' had nothing to do with me and they both loved me. I was told to call immediately to the Branch Manager as he was meeting with the DM that very day, which I did and yet never received a call back that day or the next. I waited until Wednesday to call back. I felt that I was given a run-around and then would be told that they are interested in me. He also informed me that they wanted to interview everyone who applied to give them a chance. That's not a good sign to me...frankly I feel that this may be the BM's lack of experience (lack is not bad, though) in that he wasn't sure how to either let me down or keep me interested.
I really think I would be such a great asset to the bank and that branch so I do hold some hope! I do hope to hear back soon one way or another as it can be very frustrating for applicants to be left hanging!
