UC Davis Applications Developer II interview questions

Had a 2x1 Interview with a Developer and Head of Department. First round of questions was some boiler plate, mostly some open ended questions to allow the interviewers to get an idea of your thought processes and critical thinking. The next step I had was very refreshing. Instead of the usual online coding tests, I was given a take home project assigned by the lead developer. Once that was completed, I turned it in and that was my interview process. I hope that the take home project continues to be an interview step as I believe it better showcases an interviewees talents rather than generic online code tests.
