It's been a short-term job for 3 months, so the interview by primary employer was just a 30 min phone conversation and as I was told by staffing agency that they decided to hire me. Eventually, it appears that my criminal background was not satisfactory (DUI) and I was not offered the job.

Interview
I made a cold call to the company and they responded within a week with an interest to discuss the possibility of a hire. They were clearly interested and ready for hiring. I think that do the home work to find a interesting company which is ready to expand is most important. Make it easy for them to like you and want you. Avoid being complicated, like requiring a huge moving package or bonus.
