      New Grad RN Interview

      Jul 19, 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Aurora, CO
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at UCHealth (Aurora, CO) in Jun 2019

      Interview

From the second I walked into the hospital, everyone was so kind and helpful. While waiting in the lobby for my interview to begin with a few other waiting candidates, the hiring recruiters there made us feel very comfortable and kept us updated about when we would be going back. I went back for my interview pretty quickly (I interviewed with oncology/BMT and pulmonary), but there were other units who were running a bit late on their interviews. When I went back for my interview, the interviewing team was so welcoming and kind, too. There was another interview going on in the same room, which threw me off a bit at first, but after getting into the groove of things, I didn't even notice it. The most stressful part of everything was interviewing with five people sitting across from me and five pairs of ears and eyes focusing on me. No matter how nice they were, it's still a bit stressful to have that many people judging you and your abilities. I would advise practicing answering questions with several people with you to better prepare for this, as I only practiced with one person. The whole interview process took about an hour, and I was offered a position by e-mail less than a week later.
