UES Anonymous interview questions

Came in for an in-person interview, spoke with 3 people, was quite long and thorough. My interviewers were already 15 minutes late, but that's not too bad. Then after over an hour long interview they told me they would be in touch. The interview went well I felt like. Then I never heard from them again. I had to get a friend who knows the HR director to find out what happened. They said they liked me and I interviewed well, but went with someone with more experience. It's fine if you don't select me, but at least have the courtesy to follow up after an interview. Just plain rude and unprofessional.
