I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at US Navy (El Paso, TX) in Apr 2011
Interview
Interviewed with a recruiter at the recruiting station. They went over the process of joining to include a medical physical and a background check. After competing the interview, physical and background check, I met with a classifier and picked my job and when I wanted to leave to boot camp. Everything was put into a contract and then I raised my hand and swore into the US Navy.
Quick and easy. Very little effort and they were ready to sign the papers within the hour. The testing portion was the only difficult part. Quick and easy. Very little effort and they were ready to sign the papers within the hour. The testing portion was the only difficult part.
The interview process required to join the united states navy is a complex, complicated, and paper work filled haze. There is the ASVAB test, and quite a few other pre qualifications. See your local recruiter.
