I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at US Postal Service (San Diego, CA) in Apr 2015
Interview
(I just had my interview today 7/30/2015, I will update later whether or not I was actually offered the job)
I applied in the end of April 2015 and took the online test. Two weeks later I was scheduled to take the Exam and also the drug-screening. Two weeks after that I was instructed for the background information. Then, I waited up until my interview on July 30th. I was definitely losing hope since the whole process was taking months but I am glad that it's progressed.
I just got home from my interview. It began at 8am at the main processing center in San Diego. There were at least 40 other people who were interviewing for the same position. They took us to a large room for a brief orientation telling us the role of a CCA and went over work conditions, expectations, dogs, heavy lifting, carrying the 35-pound carrier bag. Told us the pay is $15.68 and that the turnover rate for CCA's are high.
After that, we watched two videos which I had already seen on YouTube. Then we filled out employment and background information, our job location preferences. We were briefly interviewed by staff to see if we were qualified based off any past terminations, driving records, and any criminal record. If you were in the green you were asked to sit and wait for your actual interview.
My interviewer asked me several questions and seemed as if she liked me. She told me that I was the right fit for the job. When she asked me if I had any questions I asked what it takes to become a career employee. While answering she asked me if I would ever consider management!
So I hope this means I'm getting the job!
Straight forward explanation of the role requirements and question as to whether the role interests you. You’re given a chance to ask any questions you have about the role and compensation.

No inter view all online. The application very easy to complete and instant job offer. Easiest job I have ever applied to. Going through the background check process currently now
Easy I just sat down with the post master and we talked for 20 minutes. Not many questions where asked besides why I wanted to work for the post office.
