Interview
Applied online, received a phone call. When I came in for an interview there was an interview portion with 2 interviewers. Then there was a tour of the company and assessments were administered based on typing skills, and proficiency in adobe suite software on mac computers.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at USA TODAY Co. (Des Moines, IA) in May 2016
Interview
I was contacted about one month after I had initially applied for the position by a corporate HR recruiter to set up a phone interview. She informed me of who I would be interviewing with from the Des Moines location and at what time they would call.
The actual phone interview was awkward. The interviewer had no people skills and jumped straight into the interview. She would ask me a question, wait for me to answer and then immediately move on to the next. She had informed me that they would like to move forward with an in-person interview and that her co-worker would be contacting me regarding the location and what I would need to bring with me. I never received that email and have heard nothing from the company since!
