I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Uber (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Well, first there was an email from a recuiter and then a test. The recruiter was just interested in free work. It was very impersonal. I never talked to an actual human. Worst interview process I have ever participated in.

Question 1
How to solve "multi-selection" as an interaction paradigm.
It was an extensive interview process through months. Different rounds with different teams so there was possibility to get a sense of the day to day in the company. Expectations were clear for every round of the interview process with constant communication with recruiter.
I applied online. I interviewed at Uber (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
The interview was nice. The people were pleasant. I talked to who would be my boss and one other team colleague. They seemed interested in seeing only and exactly what was described in the job role, which was specifically about motion and systems. Transferable skills or degrees didn't seem to matter much. The role also mentioned branding, graphic design, and illustration as "needed/ really nice to have". I focused on the last three - which seemed to not be enough to get me forward.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uber in Apr 2021
Interview
The interview process was thorough, organized, and typical multi-stage process for large company. It starts with a recruiter, then you move into the hiring manager, then a technical test, etc.
