I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Uber (New Delhi) in Feb 2016
Interview
The selection procedure included the following rounds:
1. Resume Shortlisting
Initial short listing was purely based on resume. In our institute the minimum percentage for applying was 50% but students having 60% and above (125 students) were shortlisted for the written test.
2. Online Analytical Test
The online test was 20 questions long, with multiple choice and a few short essays. The questions were based on a CSV file that candidates must download.
The test asked candidates to interpret data with questions such as: "Which 10-hour span in the course of two weeks had the most Uber requests," and "Which of the following metrics would be most valuable for determining demand?"
I personally felt that this test was quite tough and if you are not good at analytical thinking, Uber is probably not the place for you.
17 candidates were shortlisted after this test for the next round.
3. Video Questionnaire Round
All 17 of us were sent a link to a tool which had interview questions on a interview page and in the same page we recorded our replies. The Questionnaire had questions like "Why Uber?" and "Why this Role?"
13 out 17 candidates were selected for the next round (Personal Interview at Uber Office)
4. Personal Interview - 1
This interview lasted for 60 - 70 minutes. I was given two case studies to solve. Both cases required a lot of guest estimates and I was told to present the solution on a white board.
The case study was followed by a situation based problem and it required role playing .
After the first interview round 6 students were selected for the second interview.
5. Personal Interview - 2
This interview lasted for 80 - 90 minutes. This round was same as the previous one but the problems and cases were more difficult. It was followed by some questions based on my CV and then they tried to grill me on my low college percentage. All problems were based on real-world scenarios to see if candidates can hit the ground running.
After this round 2 out of 6 candidates were selected for next rounds that were to be held the next day.
6. The next day both of us had two more interviews over Skype. The first interview was taken by a Senior Manager and the second interview was taken by the GM.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (New York, NY) in May 2026
Interview
The process was smooth and professional overall. First spoke with a recruiter, followed by a video interview focused on operations, problem-solving, and communication skills. Interviewers were friendly and explained the role clearly. The process moved fairly quickly.
The interview was very smooth and the hiring manager was able to answer the questions that I had regarding the company. Many behavioral questions and questions about the company. Make sure to do research on values and company goals!
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Uber in Apr 2023
Interview
