I applied to the SMB Account Manager position for Uber Eats on their website. There is an initial phone screen with the recruiter, then a video interview with a Jr. Manager, and for the final round interview there is an assignment to complete before speaking with the team's Manager and Sr. Manager via Zoom.
The Uber recruiter I worked with, Anabel, was amazing. She was responsive, transparent, and kept the process quick and organized. The Jr. Manager I spoke with was very personable and asked me some great questions, she made me very excited about the role and I felt like I could work well with her. I was given an assignment to complete before my final interview, and I had to create a presentation about a renewal/upsell for an existing client in my current role that I had to role play. The Manager and Sr. Manager asked very specific questions about my experience with KPIs, especially client retention/churn, along with account management strategies and objection handling. They were both extremely intelligent, and I felt like I could also learn a lot from them.
TIP: Be sure that you are prepared with specific examples of your experience, the final interview can be challenging if you do not prepare and do your research on the company.
Ultimately, they went with another candidate, but the recruiter called me to tell me the news. Overall, while I was not offered the position, I was impressed with the interview process and with the people I spoke with from the organization. I hope to be considered for a future opportunity.
