      Difficult interview

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Nov 2012

      Interview

Just finished my interview today for United Airlines. All of your posts helped and validated me so much, that I thought I would pay my experience forward. Everything you read here is verbatum TRUE, dispite what your main interviewer will say! They have interviewed 80,000 candidates thus far, and flying you out costs them ZERO. Remember that when you get excited to give your time. As it is YOU they should be thanking! I actually had a very fun experience! I am totally prepared for another airline interview now, as all my flight attendant friends (that work for United) say APPLY EVERYWHERE! Virgin, Southwest, and American. This interview is a cattle call of about 100 people, per day alllll week, who could probably ALL do the job fantasticly! They are looking to weed out! The momentum is great when you first enter the room, then goes down as people are getting called one at a time and asking questions. My interviewer smiled like a manican throughout the whole interview, and looked tragicly groomed compared to all the applicants, including myself, I hate to say I wasnt impressed with the attendants on my flight out either, gray roots, shaggy, untailored uniform, messy ponytail... :/ eeeek , scary! This interview has absolutely NOTHING to do with your skills or talents, they ask you about 5-7 basic interview questions (which you can google), should you answer one incorrectly or fumble a bit, its on to the next, as they have soooo any candidates. Also, should you stay at the Marriot on JFK Blvd., this is a very expensive hotel, hub for Airline personal, (way less looking than professional) they charge for WIFI, and do not provide a beverage bar for soft drinks ect. Also, should anyone have a DUI even if it is over 10 years old, it is a disqualifier according to the recruiter, due to strict Canadian laws that see misdomeanors of any kind as felonies which does not allow you the flexibility to fly there even through your job, might want to check out its validity before you go! and if you have tattoos, and are willing to have them lazored, cover them for interview, and do not admit you have them (wrists, neck, legs, and feet) ....just an FYI, he spoke on that for a good half hour! GOOD LUCK! Hope this will help some of you :)

      Interview

I’m heading to the F2F interview in TX. Every step so far has not been difficult for me. I also have no prior knowledge in being a FA. The hardest part so far is probably just the nerves and anxiety. Just prep well, do some research, have some basic questions and answer prepared so that even if they ask a different question you can possibly use one of the scenarios of another question and tailor it to the new one.

      Interview

I conducted my online assessment with questions about company policy, seating charts and customer requests with what is allowed and what isn't. I took my time with every question and reviewed it twice before submitted and now I'am invited to the virtual interview.

      Question 1

They gave you scenarios of situations and then gave you charts of company policy for food service and you had to answer helping the customer but following company policy.

      Interview

I was offered to do the recorded interview with United Airlines. I allied and took the assessment test. It was easy questions that really only you have the answer. I’m excited to go further and hopefully be given the offer of employment. The closest base to me is Houston. I eventually would like to change bases to Austin
