I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2021
Interview
Applied online then had an initial interview with the recruiter about my background and experience. Then had an interview with the hiring manager and another manager. Questions were all behavioral based. The whole process took way too long to get scheduled and I had to constantly follow up with the recruiter for feedback and next steps.

Question 1
All behavioral based questions
"Describe a time..." Make sure to follow the STAR methodology.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2025
Interview
Had a short Teams call with the hiring manager directly. Seemed to go ok, then ghosted for well over a month, despite being an employee referral. I may hear something eventually, but it's been crickets.
One-way video assessments with questions that would be better answered in a conversation. Either they are way too simple or too complex to answer in a video recording. Additionally, undependable communication - before, during, and after - it's frustrating.

Question 1
Describe a project from beginning to implementation - explain challenges faced and eventual outcome.
Process was pretty smooth. The recruiter was communicative and everything that I was told to expect happened. The timeline that was given stayed on track. There were multiple rounds of interviews with various team members.
