      Flight Attendant Interview

      Jun 15, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Newark, NJ
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at United Airlines (Newark, NJ) in May 2015

      Interview

i submitted application on 05/18/15, got invited to HireVue video interview by email on the next day (you got 5 days to complete the video interview once you get the email). Finished video interview on 05/22/15, got invited to f2f interview by email on 05/29/15. Scheduled f2f interview on 06/10/15, passed the first interview (2 on 1), got to meet with 2 senior interviewers and they asked pretty much same questions as you did on first interview, i guess they just wanted to make sure if I'm serious. Got offered at the same day, got drug test and physical test on the same day as well. i spent 10 hours there for the whole process. Got training invitation email and will be started on 06/21/15 for 5 weeks in houston. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *HireVue video personal experience i would love to share* *stay away from the link if you are not ready, once you start, have to do it right away. *do as much as practice questions before you start to get use to that software (it feels super weird). *make sure you are looking at the right places, (my webcam was weird that i looked right into it but it came out i was looking down, so beware of that, interviewers want to look at your video like you are looking right in their eyes, so check your records on the practice section.) *keep smile and be confident, dress professional, neat hair and make up as well *Video interview asks about 5-6 questions, it will show each question on screen and you will have 30 sec to prepare for your answer, then you will have 2 mins max for your answer. if you finish before 2 mins, just click "next" for next question. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *f2f personal experience i would love to share* *its kinda corny to say, but yea, keep smile and be confident of what you gonna answer. don't be afraid to ask them to repeat the question if you are not clear ( i did it coupletime, the interviewers are very very friendly and nice) *study all the questions you read in this forum. helped me a big time!!! just make sure to use the "star method" to relate to your answer." *i dressed like i was already a FA, i had decent make up with a red lips, plain jewelries and a watch. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- below are some questions they asked me on both video and f2f interviews, hope it helps.

      Interview

the face to face live video interview with a HR personnel. I collected all possible questions from reddit to glassdoor and formulate my answers and thought they're going to ask the same questions but they didn't. The HR kind of tell that I have a ready made answers so she stirred the interview differently so my answer will be organic. Thankfully I passed this 30 minute interview. The interviewer did not look interested because she is multi-tasking but best believe she is listening to your answers.

      Interview

I’m heading to the F2F interview in TX. Every step so far has not been difficult for me. I also have no prior knowledge in being a FA. The hardest part so far is probably just the nerves and anxiety. Just prep well, do some research, have some basic questions and answer prepared so that even if they ask a different question you can possibly use one of the scenarios of another question and tailor it to the new one.
