      Flight Attendant Interview

      Apr 6, 2023
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Houston, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Apr 2023

      Interview

The process: Apply, one-way video, interview with recruiter, and finally face-to-face interview. *Please read carefully When you go to the building for the face-to face interview, they assign you to a group. This will take place in the conference room. After they're done presenting information about the position, they will take you to another room where you'll do an activity with your group. You're given different scenarios and have to list them from the most important to the least important. The activity lasts 10 minutes. The airline representatives will observe you and your group to see how well you work with others. After you're done with the group activity, you'll be taken back to the conference room. An airline representative (a flight attendant trainer) will come to your table and ask you "Give me an example of when you had to do the right thing" (question may differ for others). Each person in the group will take turns answering the question. When your group is done answering the question, you will be taken to different rooms where they showcase employee uniforms, beverage carts, emergency supplies, etc. After, you will be taken back to the conference room. They will then call everyone individually to do the one-on-one interview. Before you even interview, they will make you do a reach test. If you can't reach it (82" inches), you'll be told that you cannot proceed to the final interview. Because I didn't pass the reach test, I was unable proceed to the final interview so I do not know what kind of questions they ask. I'm really short (4'11"), so I was unable to pass the reach test. If you can't reach 82", do NOT apply. You WILL be rejected. I was told to try for a regional airline, which I am hesitant to do so as the pay is not that great and not worth it. The whole process takes about 4 hours. Note: I wish they would have done the reach test first. I pretty much wasted 4 hours of my time just to be rejected due to my height. I hope this helps.
