I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2015
Interview
The whole process took about 3 weeks. I initially applied online and almost immediately received and email stating if they liked what they saw on my app, they would send a link for the HireVue. Next day I received the link for HireVue. It was definetly different but I completed the digital interview and sent it off. About 3 days later I recieved another email for the F2F portion of the process. I flew to SFO courtesy of UA the night prior to the interview. The following morning I arrived at the UA business center an hour early. There were about 10 FA hopefuls and all the ladies were super nice. They give you a brief presentation about the company and what to expect as a FA. After that I was called back for my 1:1. I had the nicest interviewer ever. Made me feel right at home. I passed that part because I was asked to stick around and meet the higher ups. During the second interview I was asked more situational questions then asked to wait in the hall. I came back in and was asked if I could comply with the strict dress code, I said yes! I was asked if I had a passport, to which I said yes! And a dived of the background check. I advised them I was totally fine with it. The Senior FA proceeded to tell me about a training class starting on 10/19 and that I would hear back within 5-7 days. I felt so good about the interview when I walked out. I was sent an email 3 days later thanking me for my time and notifying me that I had not been selected. I'm super confused, I thought it went so well. Either way, it was a great learning experience. I strongly advise you to be friendly, warm, smile often and practice the questions listed in this site. They're pretty spot on. Good luck everyone :-)

First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
Completed the assessment and attended the optional Q&A teams meeting , I am now awaiting the virtual face to face . It’s been almost a month of waiting however in the Q&A meeting they mentioned that it can take some time possibly towards the end of summer .
