I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Wauwatosa, WI) in Dec 2017
Interview
After completing an application online, I was sent a link for an assessment. The following day I was contacted for a phone screening, which went well, so I was scheduled for a phone interview. Had my phone interview about 3 days later. That also went well so I was scheduled for an in person interview. The interview was conducted by 2 people; one was present and the other on the phone. They asked basic customer service interview questions and I felt it was going very well and felt sure I got the job. Well, 3 days later I received a thanks but no thanks email stating they chose other candidates who better matched the qualifications. I am still confused as to how my qualifications were a good enough match to waste my time with 3 interviews, especially since I have claims and customer service experience.

Question 1
Tell us about a time when you had to deal with a difficult customer?
I applied online. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group (Lawrenceville, IL)
Interview
Talk to someone who calls you from like Texas and they will decide if you go to the next step. Then you will do a face to face interview. Very impersonal and the questions are very odd.

Question 1
Tell me about a time something upset you and you had to deal with it. What did you do and what was the outcome.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group in Feb 2018
Interview
I was contacted about 2 days after submitting my resume to schedule a phone interview. I was advised the interview could take up to 1 hour. On day of interview the interviewer called 10 minutes late and said up front that this initial phone screen would really only take 20-30 minutes. The first 10 minutes were clarification about job history. Then another 10 minutes in which 3 behavioral interview questions were asked. I was then cleared for an in person interview for later in the week. This initial “interview” was a bit frustrating as it was presented one way by my initial contact and I made preparations for that allotment of time specifically when in reality it could have been accomplished over my lunch break. The interviewer was very polite and upbeat and provided additional information I asked for so the overall experience was good.
