The person I was interviewed by was the person before the Hiring Manager. She was very nice, warm and friendly. The overall interaction was very pleasant. She was also upfront about how much they wanted to pay for the position, which I appreciated. They wanted to pay 48k a year for a Production Designer. To be honest, you would have next to nothing after taxes, commuting costs, and cost of living expenses. The workload expectancy also seemed to be on the heavy volume side. You would be on a salary, so your average nights might even go past 6 pm. So technically you could be making less than 48. (Depending on how late they made you stay.) I shouldn't have been surprised that a lucrative record company doesn't want to give up the money to pay the median rates for this position. (57-65k a year) That was a red flag for me.
