I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Unum (Chattanooga, TN) in Feb 2014
Interview
I applied online, and was then asked to complete a short survey/questionnaire about myself and what I knew about the company. I was later called for a phone interview, followed by a lunch meeting with all potential applicants, followed by a face to face interview with three people from management.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are your post-graduation plans? Why do you want to work for Unum? How do you think you would contribute to Unum's culture? Tell me about a time when you faced a significant issue at work? How did you solve it?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Unum (Worcester, MA) in Apr 2016
Interview
I submitted an online application with a full cover letter and resume. I received an email back one week later for an interview. Went and there were two individuals who asked about prior experiences, all from the resume. Got the call for an offer two weeks later. Make sure to memorize your resume and cover letter because you will be asked about them.

Question 1
Name a time you dealt with a difficult business situation.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Unum (Chattanooga, TN)
Interview
First round: send you a questionnaire to fill out. This means your resume made it which is good, now it is yours to lose! Make sure your answers target their reasoning for the question and to not give them anything that they were not asking for. Be professional and concise!
Second round: a phone interview. Be prepared for SEVERAL behavioral interview questions (the ones we all hate!). Target 1-2 minutes per answer and use the STAR method (Google it!).
Third round: in-person interview. 3 interviews back-to-back at 30 minutes each. You will still have some behavioral interview questions but not as many. This is the first step that involves the actual people you will be working with/for, the other rounds are done solely by HR.
