I was called for a phone interview, and was asked a lot of difficult questions about Uwajimaya and my past experience. The interview lasted about 15-20 minutes, and then the woman who interviewed me said she would consult her manager about my schedule and I'd hear back. 2 days later, I got called in for a second interview with 2 managers, and I went in the same day. One of them asked all of the questions, while the other just watched and listened (which made me feel a little nervous, but afterwards he talked to me and he was very nice). They liked that I speak Japanese and know about the culture and cuisine. After they finished asking me questions, they left to consult for a while (most nerve-wracking 5 minutes of the entire process). When they returned, they told me they'd decided to hire me and gave me paperwork to fill out. Everyone was very nice and accommodating, and the interview process went very smoothly! They're going to go over my background checks now, and they said they would call me in a week for orientation.
