Interview
You will have at least one but probably two online interviews with a VIPKID employee who will explain to you what the interview process is like and will then pretend to be a 5-year-old child to watch and help you learn how to engage children on the internet. It is a very lengthy and difficult process and VIPKID only hires about 30% of the people they interview. It helps to have a child-friendly attitude, puppets, and a good imagination because it's a bit unnerving trying to pretend the bearded guy on the other end of the camera is a 5-year-old child.

Interview process was relatively fun and easy if you're comfortable doing part of a mock teaching lesson. They may do it differently now, but that's what I had to do when I interviewed.

The interview process was easy, the interviewer was pleasant and we shared a few laughs. Doing the demo lesson was easy, as the lesson contact is sent to you via email a few days before you interview - which gives you enough time to prepare.
