Interview
I had to prepare a mini lesson and present it to a Chinese employee who appeared to be in a call center. They were a bit hard to understand but were very informative on the matter and answered questions I had.
The second interview, so to speak, was with an American vipkid teacher and was a Mock 1 presentation course. Again, the teacher acts like a child and you present the material and they give you feedback and this lasts about an hour.
I didn't have to do Mock 2
Got hired as a British speaking then cancelled as not from America which I disclosed at the first interview which I think was silly and unprofessional at the time it was during covid when this happpened.
Very lenghthy interview process, but the interviewers were nice and helpful. There were several steps to the process and it was pretty involved. I had to prepare a lesson beforehand
It was easy an straightforward. 1 interview and 2 mock classes to pass. They offer a contract for a year with option to renew after 1st contract is over. Overall the process last for about 2 weeks from the time you apply unless you are waitlisted.
