So someone I know, put me in touch with someone they knew there. I had a 1 hour chat, causal, friendly like because we knew the same people from our different paths. She asked would I be interested in applying, I said possibly. I was told HR would drop me a line. So HR calls me. The person supposed to call me can't be bothered (Too busy is a wrong answer - projects a poor respect level towards you as a potential hire) and sends her understudy. Ok. Have a brief chat were he is basically angsting to get off the call all the way through. Again asks if I would consider applying. At this point I'm unsure. He asks can I see your resume. I said ok. About 2 hours later I get the standard stock email rejection. I hadn't even applied yet. I was treated so poorly throughout the process, that I nixed the other jobs within the organization that I was in conversations about - they appear to interview for teams through several inroads and I had a few of them in progress. When an employer is constantly talking about money, and your monetary investiture, and bonuses not salary, and never about the work, it's a real red flag.
