I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Charlotte, NC) in Dec 2013
Interview
Phone interview is the first step
Afterwards, you'll get an invitation to the campus to learn about the company and have your formal interview
The interview is 2 sections. Both 1-on-1. One is behavioral (STAR questions!!!) other is situational where you're given a phone situation and act out how you would handle
After, you'll get a call from the recruiter you've been working with (about 2 weeks later)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you handled a difficult situation with a client
I applied online. I interviewed at Vanguard (Malvern, PA) in Mar 2026
Interview
My experience interviewing for this position was great because I was able to connect well with my interviewer, which made the conversation feel comfortable and engaging. The interview mainly focused on behavioral questions, such as being asked to walk through a stressful situation I had experienced and explain how I managed it. I was also asked questions about my knowledge of the company, including its values, mission, and what interested me about the role. Overall, the interview felt like a meaningful conversation that allowed me to share both my experiences and my understanding of the organization.
I applied online. I interviewed at Vanguard (Phoenix, AZ) in Nov 2016
Interview

I was over qualified any ways so It does not really matter! we were on the phone for 2 minutes and once she knew that I can only work for one year she said we can't sponsor you and it is not a good investment to hire you for one year only..

I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Vanguard in Nov 2016
Interview
I had a phone call interview which lasted about 20 mins, it was very awkward the entire time. The interviewer was just reading questions off a piece of paper, then finished off by saying that there are no current openings, but that they recommend that I apply again next month.
