I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Vanguard (Scottsdale, AZ) in Oct 2015
Interview
An initial phone screening to begin with, and then if you pass their screening they will call you back for a second interview. The phone call lasted about an hour. They ask you to explain your entire resume in full and then go on to ask you a few behavioral type questions (STAR). As long as you can explain your entire resume in detail and are prepared for the behavioral questions, you should be alright.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Ask you about your resume in full (know it inside and out)
Behavioral questions - tell me about a time when... etc.
Why Vanguard
Simple process. Went through Drexel with the co-op program. One phone call and then one in person interview with direct manager and then a week later received the offer. Pretty straight forward. Great company and good people.
The process spanned 3 rounds. First was resume and technical questions. Second was coding DSA and regressions. Third was research questions. Overall people were very nice, the process went smooth and fairly quickly.

Interview
Very chill, just behavior questions. Asked me about my communication style, what courses/knowledge of data science/machine learning that I had. Why I wanted to work in finance. It was very enjoyable/conversational.
