I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (Los Angeles, CA) in Sep 2016
Interview
This was the most stressful interview I have ever had in my life. I applied and about a week later had an online interview which I expected to be a Skype interview but turned out to be a prerecorded video of a woman reading questions from script into a webcam. In each video I was asked at least three questions (sometimes more), given 30 seconds to think of answers, and 3 minutes to record my response. I was asked to tell them why I was interested in tutoring the subjects I selected in my application but since it had been a week since I'd filled it out I had trouble remembering exactly which subjects I'd selected from their ample list of offerings. Not only did I feel pressured by having to come up with answers before the clock ran out but I felt like I wasn't worth their precious time to even meet.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you handle a student who refuses to sit and study with you?
I applied online and then they set up an interview with me. The interviewer's questions were straightforward and I also got to ask questions about the job. There was clear follow up on the next steps in the interview process.

You have to record yourself and you are given two tries to answer few questions asked.
There is a practice question to get you going.
There was no interview process. We just got offer letters and I think its because they are still starting and up and all. But I think its a great opportunity to learn and teach.
