I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors in Mar 2017
Interview
First interview is through an online system with pre-prompted questions and video recording. Once the question is prompted, you are given a short amount of time to prep before you have to begin recording. Overall it wasn't too bad just be prepared to answer questions about teaching philosophy. Second interview is over the phone with someone asking very similar questions to the video interview.

Question 1
How would you approach tutoring a student who did not like the subject? How would your tutoring style change depending on the students age? If you had a student who did not understand DNA base pairings, how would you best explain this topic? (subject specific question)
You are sent a link to an online video interview. They ask you about previous tutoring experience and the last question was asking you to do a mock-tutoring session. It's very awkward because you have to make up what you want to teach on the spot, but you get unlimited time to think of responses.

Interview
AI Interview, very easy. Asked very basic question's regarding experience, motivation, etc. I’m a freshman student in UMD and so I haven’t been to many job interviews, but this was genuinely easy.
