I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (Philadelphia, PA) in Jan 2019
Interview
Interview was done by video using prerecorded questions. Questions were challenging but fair. After completion of the interview, and a period of analysis of the questions I was quickly approved to be a tutor on their platform

Question 1
They asked me to pick a question from a list of questions for my subject areas and explain it--not give the answer, and also think of questions that would check understanding of concepts already learned.
You are sent a link to an online video interview. They ask you about previous tutoring experience and the last question was asking you to do a mock-tutoring session. It's very awkward because you have to make up what you want to teach on the spot, but you get unlimited time to think of responses.

Interview
AI Interview, very easy. Asked very basic question's regarding experience, motivation, etc. I’m a freshman student in UMD and so I haven’t been to many job interviews, but this was genuinely easy.
