I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (New York, NY) in Oct 2021
Interview
After filling out the online application, you get an email from HireVue to complete a video interview, not a big deal. Part 1 was easy...Part 2, was a total curveball. You have 10 minutes to plan a lesson and then another 10 to present it! Insanity. How can you be engaging and teach online with just a lecture. no students, whiteboard, anything...really disappointing. Part 3 was a personality test disguised as a "game", really, a joke.

Question 1
Take 10 minutes and plan out a lesson, and then present it in 10 minutes or less.
You are sent a link to an online video interview. They ask you about previous tutoring experience and the last question was asking you to do a mock-tutoring session. It's very awkward because you have to make up what you want to teach on the spot, but you get unlimited time to think of responses.

Interview
AI Interview, very easy. Asked very basic question's regarding experience, motivation, etc. I’m a freshman student in UMD and so I haven’t been to many job interviews, but this was genuinely easy.
