I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (New Brunswick, NJ) in Sep 2015
Interview
The interview process was a month long. First, I submitted three video interview questions. They were straight forward. Next, I had a phone interview. She asked a little more about me and gave me information about the position. She told me she would set up a Skype interview. I never received an email and followed up two days later. She told me to be patient and I would know soon. I emailed her a week later and she set up the Skype interview. The interview was a role-play for a parent wanting tutoring services for her child. It went great and she told me how good I did. She set up a final interview with the Vice President. She explained more about the job including compensation. She said the salary would be 35,000. She told me about the schedule and that I'd be receiving a laptop and headset. They called both of my professional references. Then, she told me I would get an email if I was wanted for a final interview. I received an email 2 days later that I did not get the job. There wasn't an explanation why and I was a little confused because I received such positive feedback. I like how Varsity Tutors is very thorough with their interview process, but it's unfortunate that I was denied a position when I could have been an asset to their team.

The first interview is a simple phone call, the second interview is a video interview which lasts approximately 30 minutes, and the final in person interview takes approximately an hour.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Varsity Tutors (Remote, OR) in Jun 2017
Interview
There were four interviews. All of them were skype interviews. The purpose was to meet the different people on the team that needed to decide if I was a good fit. By the third interview, they recommended me for the Client Sales Director role, so I had a 4th interview with the CSD manager. Pretty standard interviews

Phone interview video interview with no one present, final video interview role play interview with someone from ATL on other end. Flaw in video one on one role play the very last step of process. They ask u to call their company and pretend to be a customer and this prepares you for video role play. However video software at end failed me during software. She did not believe me. I sent several letters to CEO describing my negative experience and he could not even bother replying.
I still even sold the girl the full pkg or proposal #1 and she still did pass me. My 15 years of proven sales experience and sales management experience intimadated the youthful girl in Atlanta interviewing me. Very unprofessional experience b
