Was referred by a friend, and got an initial phone screen with a hiring manager. Really nice, just asking about my resume and what languages/things I was comfortable working with. Did ask briefly about experience with object oriented programming and to explain what it was conceptually.
Then had technical phone screen. Had to explain Java concepts e.g. inheritance, data structures, etc. Had two string manipulation coding questions.
Then onsite with 5 people, 1 current associate QA engineer and 4 managers/VPs. No coding at all, just had to explain Java concepts, very similar to technical phone screen. Got the offer 3 days later! Seemed like they were evaluating me based off of personality more so than technical skill.
Overall, they were really prompt, professional, nice, and were really fun to talk to. Veeva is a solid company, the people and culture are great and they have exciting work to be done.
