Had a great experience with the recruiter, very negative experience with the hiring manager interview. Manager was unprepared and disinterested, critiqued formatting on my resume rather than discussing experience. Never heard further feedback after the manager interview.

Question 1
How did you determine a specific metric on your resume?
I applied online. The process took 7 months. I interviewed at Veeva Systems (London, England) in Mar 2026
Interview
I applied via the generalist application on their website for a migration consultant position, it took them 7 months to get back to me. I was told it would be 3 interview stages, it ended up being 4.
Stage 1: 1:1 with hiring manager
Stage 2: Candidate Exercise where you go away and do a small Quality migration and then present to a panel where you roleplay as Veeva and give an overview of the project plan/test migration
Stage 3: Culture fit with leadership
The interviewer and interviews felt very corporate. I was "told off" for swearing in my interview even though the language used was appropriate for the context. In the end, I was rejected as my "salary expectations do not align with our current compensation philosophy of paying at market based on contribution". Not quite sure what that exactly means. I was told the role was £60 - £83K, I gave them a salary expectation of £70k - £90k - you can make up your own mind on if that aligns or not.
