Submitted application on their website. About a week later, a QA director sent email to arrange first video interview. Passed her round and scheduled multiple 1:1 interviews with the VP and only managers on other teams.
A few days after all the zoom interviews, one of the QA managers scheduled another zoom call to discuss their interest in extending an "offer" while stressing that don't assume Veeva is actually making an offer.
He emailed many times over the course of two weeks and asked whether I will accept an "offer" while still said there is no actual offer yet. We finally did agree on a start date, salary, and expected RSU amount but the written offer never came after weeks of negotiations. Just a short ten days before my supposedly start date, he emailed and said will need to delay the start date again! Their excuse was the team was waiting for the CEO to approve the offer. In the many weeks after he first brought up their intent to extend an "offer", there was no mention of background and reference checks! It is clear they only wanted to hire younger candidates but didn't want to turn away older candidates! They resorted to the delaying tactics and hope I would just "go away" on my own!
I definitely have enough information and evidence to sue them for fraud and gross negligence! Just image what could have happened had I quite my job and then find out the "agreement" was only fraudulent all along!
Also, no professional recruiters and HR was involved in the hiring process because the company wants to save money and the managers ARE the recruiters! Think very very carefully if you do decide to join this company!
My two cents: DO NOT WASTE TIME WITH VEEVA!!!
