The interview process itself was smooth and felt comfortable, which I really appreciated. But once I received my offer, it became clear that many of the promises made during the interview just weren’t followed through on.
When I received my offer, I was honestly shocked. I had been told I’d be getting a significant raise—enough not only to reflect my experience but also to cover the rent concession I’d be losing . After running the numbers, though, the offer barely made up the difference.
I did bring this up and made a counteroffer, explaining that I was being offered less than other BLMs in the company, despite my years of experience and the skills I bring to the table. The response was that it came down to “the market,” rather than my qualifications.
Unfortunately, this hasn’t been a great experience—not just for me, but for others on the office team as well. There’s been a real lack of transparency, and many promises that were made haven’t been kept.
