I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Verkada (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2023
Interview
The recruiting team did a wonderful job in consistently updating me about next steps in the application process which I really appreciated. It is about 4-5 interviews, with the final round flying out to California HQ. The final round consisted of multiple one-on-one interviews and a technical presentation you'll be asked to give. Because they have you go through multiple rounds, try to be as available as you can and I guarantee you their HR team will make it quick. I would say the biggest key is to rehearse your presentation and know your contents like the back of your hand. They are looking for technical skills but mostly looking for soft skills. If you are able to effectively communicate, know your audience, and be a great listener, those qualities will go a long way for them. When you get to the technical portion with the director, be prepared for a difficult whiteboard session. The idea of it is to see how you think and communicate, so don't let it get you down if you get confused - just keep trying. Overall, I really enjoyed the interview experience I had with this team. They were all extremely respectful and professional towards me and I grew a lot of relationships along the way. Their headquarters location is spectacular looking and they offer all sorts of free food for you to get your hands on during your final rounds when there are breaks. The hard work in preparing your presentation and interview skills is very worth it, good luck!

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verkada
Interview
The process from first interview to offer took about a month and a half. They did communicate with me at all times even though there were some delays. Overall the interviews in my opinion were fun and a good challenge. They did also pay for accommodations for the in person interview which was out of town for me.
I applied online. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Aced and progressed through 6+ rounds, Additional VP Round at the final onsite. All to be told I didn’t have enough experience for the position. What a joke of a company.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verkada (Salt Lake City, UT) in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview process was lengthy, but felt structured and gave me the opportunity to get a feel for the company. It balanced both personality, technical skills, and presentation knowledge equally while also giving you the opportunity to ask questions.
