Seems like a great company to work. Interviews were all pleasant, timely, etc. Third interviewer told me I'd be pushed through to final round of interviews and recruiter expressed it as a sure thing. Unfortunately got shut down by a hiring manager that I hadn't even spoken to, which seemed unfair and shortsighted on their part. Felt like a lot of time wasted. Still, from what I can tell it seems like a great place to work. My experience is probably not common.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Interview questions will be conversational with behavioral questions surrounding the following topics:
Why you want to be an Associate AE + Future AE with Verkada
Performance (have examples of how you overcame obstacles)
Quota/Attainment (if applicable)
Past Achievements, hardest thing for you to accomplish?
Greatest accomplishment(s)? (I would be prepared with multiple examples)
Competitive Drive; what drives you to want to be the best?
Resilience; Think of a couple times where you have had to be resilient
Communication
Coachability; How coachable are you? Who is the best coach/manager you had?
Work Ethic (how have you never given up and tried until you excelled at something?)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Sep 2024
Interview
The interview process was straightforward and my recruiter was very helpful. All of my questions were answered when I reached out. It always felt like I had someone supporting me.
Great interview process, everyone is kind. It’s important to talk to people in the office to see if you fit in with the team, as the training process is long and pretty intense.
