I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Feb 2024
Interview
The whole interview process itself is very disoriented and its too many interviews, l understand sales engineering requires technical/networking knowledge however the company does not make devices that actually indeed require deep networking knowledge in my opinion and since they are regular IOT devices the maximum length of troubleshooting that would be required would be layer 2 in worst case scenarios and would be never working on routing scenarios as they would be dealt by the customer themselves, however the expectations are too high as compared to the pay that is actually offered which makes this particular job incompetent and waste of candidate's time, this review is for people to make aware that there are better opportunities out there that are worth investing the time for.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verkada
Interview
The process from first interview to offer took about a month and a half. They did communicate with me at all times even though there were some delays. Overall the interviews in my opinion were fun and a good challenge. They did also pay for accommodations for the in person interview which was out of town for me.
I applied online. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Aced and progressed through 6+ rounds, Additional VP Round at the final onsite. All to be told I didn’t have enough experience for the position. What a joke of a company.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verkada (Salt Lake City, UT) in Apr 2026
Interview
The interview process was lengthy, but felt structured and gave me the opportunity to get a feel for the company. It balanced both personality, technical skills, and presentation knowledge equally while also giving you the opportunity to ask questions.
