I had an initial screen with HR, then a personality test, then a meeting with the hiring manager, then completed an assignment for a presentation to the hiring manager and a colleague, then a panel interview with three other members of the team. So four interviews, an online test and an assignment. They went in another direction, but they were professional kept me informed along the way so no harm, no foul.
Then, the recruiter contacted me about another role. Because the last interaction was positive, I moved forward. I had another HR screen, met with the hiring manager for the second role, and then the same hiring manager and colleague I met in the last round, and the department leader. So five more interviews, in addition to all the steps in the previous round.
And then... ghosted. Any positive feelings after the process for the first position were negated by the experience for the second position.
