      Quality Engineer Interview

      Jul 26, 2017
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Viasat in Jun 2017

      Interview

Quick initial responses then it went radio silence. I applied for a position in Tempe, AZ. I had an initial phone interview with an HR rep that was in Carlsbad, CA that was fairly easy and was more of an personality evaluation. Then a week later I had another phone interview with the hiring Manager in Tempe, AZ that was shorter then the HR interview and didn't cover a lot of information. Then I never heard back. I sent a follow up email a few days after the second phone interview and then I sent a withdraw email 2 weeks after that.

      Quality Engineer Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Carlsbad, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Viasat (Carlsbad, CA)

      Interview

6 hour onsite interview with 8 interviewers asking mainly the same questions over and over. A ridiculous misuse of valuable time. There was no congruency between interviewers; there seemws to be no plan. Each person asked basically the same questions; the interview should have been much more efficient. Each individual had a different perception of what the job role was, or what they wanted it to be. One person talked through his entire time slot, I only was only able to squeeze in an answer to a question or two, but rather listen to them ramble on about their expertise for 45 minutes. There was no team feel throughout the entire process, no one was on the same page (and it took way too long!).
