The overall interview process wasn't that difficult, I felt that everyone was very nice and that we had good conversations. In my first interview, the recruiter was very nice, but used the whole time to talk about her experience at the company and her background. It was some great insight into learning more about the culture, but I was only able to talk about my experience for about five minutes, and she made sure we did not go over our scheduled interview time. They were also a little wishy-washy about the timeline and interview process expectations. After being told in a later interview that I should expect to hear back about schedule a next interview/ learn more about moving forward, I was never contacted. After a week, I followed up and was told by the hiring manager that I should have been contacted that morning, and if I hadn't, then I would be contacted soon. Based on that response, I figured I wasn't going to be moving forward in their interview process, which is totally fine and happens in the job hunting world. But, I had to then reach out again and find the contact information of a different recruiter few days later to learn that I had not been selected to move forward. I was told it was because they were looking for someone with more experience. The recruiter on the phone was very courteous and respectful. However, I was left a little confused as I had 2-3 years of experience more than what was asked for in the job description. Though I was disappointed in the result, the overall interview experience wasn't bad. I just wish they were a little more transparent and better in their communication.
